Minnesota Blizzard hire Forrest Randall as head coach

Randall has been leading the Lakeville Soccer Club for the past six years as Director of Coaching and more recently Executive Director. Through club soccer, his teams have been able to win several tournaments and league championships, while developing athletes that went on to have successful careers at the collegiate and professional levels.

Along with coaching club teams for Lakeville Soccer, Forrest has spent the last 11 years as an assistant coach in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference – Macalester College (five years), St. Catherine University (six years). The Wildcats most recently came off their third MIAC Tournament Championship in a row, earning their spot in the NCAA National Tournament on all three occasions.

“I want to thank Chad for putting his faith in me with this position,” commented Randall. “I am extremely excited to take on the challenge and lead the Blizzard in their inaugural season. Having been involved within the local soccer community at all levels, I see a tremendous opportunity to bring a level of soccer the south metro has been missing. We plan to build a foundation of success that can resonate and inspire our local youth in the game of soccer. In my mind, this can only come within a style of play that is organized, attack-minded, and extremely hardworking. I want our players to positively transform at the individual level, investing their energy into a cohesive team culture, and have a shared vision on how we work towards a winning season. It is going to be a fun year and I am looking forward to it!”

Tryouts for the NPSL Summer Team are March 1 and 3.
